Today, Father Davide Pagliarani, Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, announced the names of the priests who will receive episcopal consecration on July 1 at Écône.
The dossiers of these priests were sent to Leo XIV.

Father Pascal Schreiber, 53, was born into a Catholic family of five children in Aargau, Switzerland. After entering the Herz Jesu Seminary in Zaitzkofen in 1992 and continuing his studies at Écône, he was ordained a priest in 1998. Following ministry in Germany and French-speaking Switzerland, he directed schools in Mels and Wil before serving at the Swiss District headquarters in Rickenbach, first as bursar and later as Swiss Superior. Bishop Rey on FSSPX Episcopal Ordinations: "Church Should Integrate Traditionalists"
"We see a new generation of Catholics in Europe developing platforms and podcasts that are sometimes free and independent but linked to the Church's teachings," retired Bishop Dominique Rey, 73, of Fréjus-Toulon (2000–2025), France, told AdVaticanum.com on 23 May.
He added: "It is very important to encourage these initiatives."

Regarding the episcopal consecration of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, Bishop Rey was somewhat vague:
"Doctrinal communion is very important. My position is to be clear with the Society about what is necessary, but also to remain in dialogue with them — not on matters of faith, but because the Church must be open to their opinions, their expressions of fraternity, and their projects."
He added: "The Church must be willing to integrate traditionalists into its structures."

Leo XIV Appoints Politically Left-Wing Bishop to Most Conservative Archdiocese
Today, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Simon Jong-Gang Kim, 61, as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Daegu, South Korea.
The image of him disguised in a white T-shirt is from World Youth Day in Lisbon 2023, where Bishop Kim gave official catechesis as the bishops' Youth Pastoral Commission president.
He comes from a Catholic family whose roots in the faith go back to his great-grandfather’s generation.
Ordained a priest in 1996, he served in parish ministry, seminary formation, youth ministry, and Church administration, including as bursar of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea.
Francis appointed him Bishop of Cheongju in 2022.
