ROME: St. Philip Neri's Tomb | The Heart Set Aflame
"My heart hath been inflamed, and my reins have been changed." — Psalm 72:21 Witness the resting place of the Apostle of Rome at the Chiesa Nuova. In 1545, St. Philip Neri’s heart physically expanded and broke his own ribs to contain the Fire of the Holy Ghost—a supernatural miracle confirmed by physicians upon his death. THE FURNACE OF CHARITY Praying deep in the catacombs, a luminous globe of divine fire entered his lips. His heart burst with an unquenchable zeal for Christ, transforming him into a living furnace of the Holy Ghost and a severe rebuke to a decadent world. WARRIOR AGAINST HERESY Raised up by Providence to crush the chaos of the Protestant revolt, Philip Neri restored absolute reverence, penance, and doctrinal clarity. He demanded unwavering, uncompromising fidelity to the Traditional Catholic Faith against the tide of error. THE SUPERNATURAL REBUKE Armed with the gifts of levitation, prophecy, and the reading of hearts, he chose the severe joy of the Cross over modern compromise. He remains the ultimate model of combativeness, priestly zeal, and doctrinal purity. Christus Vincit! Christus Regnat! Christus Imperat! ✠ THE SERAPHIC CONFESSOR:
THE BURSTING HEART: Physical fracture of the ribs as a testimony to Divine Power.
ORATORIAN TRADITION: Resacralizing Rome through uncompromising beauty and truth.
MIRACLES OF THE ROCK: Levitation and bilocation as signs of a soul surrendered to God.
Prof. John 8:12
