We should accept them for what they are: mere rites. We must infuse every rite with love and devotion; otherwise, it misses its mark. @chris griffin The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church has blessed and approved the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. I disagree it is "fair and just," "all Catholics should ignore Fatima." Our Lady of Fatima said "only I can help you." If we had done what Our Lady of Fatima asked there would be no abortion today plain and simple. There are now *hundreds* of churches being burnt down in France and Germany every year. Dozens a year in the US and Canada, as well as Britain, Spain and Austria. Christendom is under attack, and nobody can ever name the perpetrators. What is going on?
Short answer? Chastisement. They can but don't want to name the real suspects. Because those are sitting in Rome as in almost all governments in the Once Time Ago Christian west europe.
It appears that Leo is between a rock and a hard spot. If he maintains strict actions with the Germans, he soon will have a mutiny to deal with. However, this anti-blessing Papal talk, especially from a Pope who only promotes rump rangers to Cardinals and Bishops, doesn't make sense at all. It' like deep inside Leo approves this, along with female Clergy, but to say it out loud would put his head on the chopping block. My advice for Leo is to create a parallel Catholic Church, in which anything modern will be accepted and embraced, including the Amazonian Rite. Let the Black Pope run that show ( Arturo Sosa ) The rest of the Church would adhere to the strict Apostolic Practices with a Particular Cardinal in charge. Leo thus would be King over both organizations, everyone would be happy, Rejoice.
