Quoiqu'il en soit, l'autojustification bat son plein, avec le sophisme "passe-partout"de l'état de nécessité, comme si on ne pouvait plus faire son salut dans l'Église de Jésus-Christ ou que la grâce n'était plus présente. La fsspx confond la défense de ses intérêts, de son idéologie et de son confort indépendant avec le réel combat pour le Christ toujours à l'intérieur de l'Eglise. Rappelons que les sacres sont uniquement essentiels à leur survie et d'aucune utilité pour les 1.4 milliard de catholiques dans le monde. Enfin! cette nouvelle action permet aux Lefevristes de se persuader à nouveau qu'ils auront tout fait pour ne pas poser un acte schismatique et ainsi rendre les véritables autorités responsables, afin de continuer leur petite église parallèle en toute bonne conscience et tranquillité d'esprit. J'imagine que mis à part les disciples de la fsspx, personne n'est dupe de la supercherie.
La vraie question c'est : est ce que cela plaît à Jésus-Christ ? A mon avis, autant que les délires du camp progressiste, autre face d'une même médaille, celle de la désobéissance et de l'orgueil de ceux qui croient savoir contre les papes et les évêques, bref contre l'Église vivante d'aujourd'hui, assistée continuellement par le Saint-Esprit selon les divines promesses de Son Admirable Fondateur.

In einem Begleitschreiben zum Buch beschreibt Distriktsoberer Don Gabriele D'Avino die Initiative als eine Einladung an die Bischöfe, über die Krise in der Kirche nachzudenken.
Wenn wir laut FSSPX einen legitimen Papst haben und legitime Bischöfe, dann gibt es keinen Grund für einen behaupteten Notstand, wie auch P. Schmidberger anläßlich der Bischofskonsekrationen Bischof Williamsons vehement festgestellt hat.
Wir haben sicher einen legitimen Papst, nur eben das diese seit dem Unseligen VK II nicht mehr vollauf im Sinne Gottes unseres Herrn und seiner Einen, Heiligen, Katholischen und Apostolischen Kirche agieren und wüten. Siehe eben unter anderen.

@Strong and steadfast The "wife" in your analogy is Catholic, not a rebellious protestant. She carefully avoids private judgment of her husband, righteously appealing to an higher ecclesial authority, instead of taking matters into her own hands.
There are numerous reasons to believe that Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV might not be valid popes. These are not simple times. Certainly SSPX is more faithful to Scripture and Tradition than are our last 2 pontiffs, who believe and declared that all religions are paths to God (heresy), that homosexual unions should be blessed (schism), that divorced and remarried are fine to receive communion without condition (heresy), that it's ok to take part in idol worship (apostasy), that the Preface of the Canon can be changed and the TLM abrogated and the unending law from the pope stating specifically that the TLM can never be abrogated, even by the pope, is moot (schism), etc.
Jumping off the analogy, it's clear it's the pope who is not a Catholic, rather than the SSPX.
There is a huge difference between schism and heresy. It is inaccurate and dishonest to call the SSPX protestants. Furthermore, they weren't even founded, or needed, until the current crisis in the Church had already started.
I believe, in the end, they will be exonerated of all charges of schism, and that our last 2 popes will either be declared invalid or antipopes. I believe, assuming we live normal lifespans, we will see this happen in our lifetime, and I'm no spring chicken.

Papal authority, while supreme in the Church, is not absolute, and there are conditions on that authority. Those conditions have not been met by either of these last two popes, on virtually any matter.
The pope has no authority to abrogate the TLM. He has no authority to declare that blessings may be given to homosexual couples, or that divorced and remarried persons can receive communion, or to take part in non-Catholic worship, or to declare that other religions are paths to God. These things are above the pope. Any action or command from him in those directions must be resisted, or you risk eternal salvation.
To claim that the pope has absolute authority is itself a heresy condemned by the Church.

It is justified(a duty) for Catholics to definitively privately judge a Pope's orthodoxy or whether the Seat is truly occupied.
I haven't judged whether the Seat is truly occupied. I refuse to, for the reasons that you mentioned already. Stating the Seat is vacant is clearly not the same as saying it could be vacant, or that there are strong reasons for believing so. I have no authority whatsoever to declare it so - and this has been my position for years.
We can and should, however, and especially in the light of this decrepit age, judge his words and actions that are clearly in opposition to Holy Mother the Church, and God Himself.
Give me any source, just a single one, that stipulates that judging the pope's words that are contrary to big-T Tradition violates any kind of law, canonical, moral, or otherwise.
Your position crosses into schism and heresy when there is any justification for formal resistance (ie: SSPX, Sede etc.) to Papal Jurisdiction. The layman is culpable who knowingly participates in this rebellion (resistance). And now you know.
Schism AND heresy? Again, I think you might not understand the difference. For instance, you called SSPX protestants, but while SSPX may be in schism, they are certainly not heretics. They believe in the supreme authority of the pope, just as you do.
Sometimes obedience cannot be rendered, even to moral or lawful authority. Certainly any command that tells us to act in a sinful way is to be disregarded promptly.
