Thus, I thought it was appropriate to make it now as I’ll soon be doing my charity cycle ride to raise money for the church in which Henry Jermyn is buried and memorialised. However, the speculation about Jermyn’s fathering of Charles II is probably false, merely being rumour invented by the Parliamentarians. Nevertheless, I’m sure he was a bit of father figure for Charles ! Come rain or shine (and it’s looks like it will be rain) my friends and I will complete our cycle ride.
